Hello 2015

I fell off the healthy bandwagon last year when I got sent out of town for work for 2 months (fast food central, bleh), went on a cruise for 2 weeks (most people gain 5-10lb on a cruise in general), and before I knew it the holidays were just around the corner (cookies, pies, etc). Needless to say I not only gained back what I had lost but I made that number double in terms of weight gain and I am now at my heaviest weight ever (and not happy about it). However, I figure if I lost 20lb and then gained 50lb all in 1 year (365 days) than I should be able to lose at least 70lb in a year.
Ninja Blender Model# BL660
To kick off the new year my parents got me a new blender and I am now the proud owner of a Ninja (Ninja Professional Blender with Single Serve, Model BL660). My mom originally got me a different model of Ninja online but it turned out we didn't like the size of the cups it came with as they were so big around that it would never fit in a cup holder, plus it was hard to hold (unless you're Shaq) and I'd practically break my nails on the snap shut lid trying to open it, or I'd stab my face on the spike of the lid. I do find my protein shakes do taste differently with this blender than my old traditional blender so it is taking a little getting used to (feel free to share any recipes you have!).
The Domestic Heart
If you don't have a fancy new blender I found a way you can turn any traditional blender into a similar new unit... all you have to do is remove the screw-on blender base off of your traditional blender pitcher and then screw it on-top a mason jar of appropriate mouth size (which will probably be the standard mason jar size) and... voila (game changer!). This hack can also work for newer blenders as well (like the Ninja I got).
